The short answer
With me, a small business website is £450 for up to 5 pages set up for Google, with a fixed price agreed in writing before any work starts. It's live in 7 days. Your domain and hosting for the first year are included, and ongoing care from £25 a month is optional.
£450
Fixed. In writing.
I'm Leo, and I run Leovate on my own. These are my own prices, not an average of anyone else's. Other designers and agencies charge very different amounts, so use the questions at the bottom of this page to compare quotes fairly.
What you get for £450
- Up to 5 pages designed around your business, that work on phones
- Your services, prices, contact details and buttons to call or WhatsApp you
- Set up so Google can read it: page titles, descriptions and business details
- Connected to your domain with a secure padlock (https)
- Your Google Business Profile set up, plus domain and hosting for the first year
- You see it finished before you pay, and get 50% back if you're not happy after 30 days
What pushes the price up
More pages
Up to 5 pages is included with me. Beyond that, each extra page is £50.
Booking, payments or a shop
Taking bookings or card payments through the site means extra setup and testing compared with a simple enquiry form.
Writing the words for you
If you already know what you want to say, it's faster. If I need to write all the copy from scratch, it takes longer.
Moving from an old site
Moving a domain, rescuing content or fixing a hacked site adds work, but it's usually a one-off.
The running costs nobody mentions
What you keep paying once the site is live, and how often.
Domain name
The address people type in, like yourbusiness.co.uk. You renew it once a year. It should always be registered in your name.
Hosting
Where the site lives. A simple, fast site like the ones I build can be hosted on a free plan, so there's no monthly hosting bill.
Ongoing care (optional)
Updates, fixes and keeping the site healthy after launch. With me this starts from £25 a month, and you can skip it if you'd rather not.
Business email (optional)
An email address on your own domain, like hello@yourbusiness.co.uk, is a separate monthly subscription from an email provider.

How much does a website cost for a small business in Leicester?
With me, it's £450 for up to 5 pages, with your services, prices, contact details, buttons to call or WhatsApp you, and your Google Business Profile set up. Domain and hosting for the first year are included. You get the exact price in writing before any work starts.
Are there monthly costs after the website is built?
You'll pay for your domain name each year. Hosting for a simple site can be free. Ongoing care from me, which covers updates, fixes and Google checks, starts from £25 a month and is optional.
How long does it take to build a website?
I promise 7 days from your deposit and photos, and most go live sooner.
Do I have to pay before I see the website?
Not with me. You see the finished site working before you pay, and it doesn't go live until you're happy with it.
Who owns the website and domain?
You should. With me, your domain, hosting and accounts stay in your name. Always check this with any web designer before you pay them.
